Congregation  Shomray  Hadath

Welcome to our synagogue - we invite you to look around and get a feel for our congregation. Feel free to share any comments or questions that might be on your mind through our online guest book. If you're not currently a member of our synagogue - we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services. And of course, feel free to reach out and call one of our  Leaders and Administrators

Prayer at Shomray Hadath is a warm communal experience. Our services are fully egalitarian and follow the traditional ritual and worship. The Shabbat minyan begins at 9AM every Saturday morning. Friday night family Shabbat services are held throughout the year. We celebrate all Jewish holidays to the fullest in the traditional Jewish spirit.

We'd also like to invite you to make an online misheberach request. Your  request will be fulfilled at the next Shabbat service.

Our Congregation is a member of the Jewish Center and Federation of the Twin Tiers - JCF.  JCF is dedicated to perpetuating Jewish values, instilling pride in Jewish heritage and unifying the area's Jewish Community.  JCF is committed to Tzedakah (צדקה) by collecting funds and disbursing them locally, nationally and worldwide.

Tzedakah is a Hebrew word commonly translated as charity, though it is based on a root meaning justice (,צדק tzedek). In Judaism, tzedakah refers to the religious obligation to perform charity.
